Father's Day and Baby Birdies

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads and granddads out there. Today we went to Tennessee for dinner with family. While we were there my grandfather showed us this little family of birds that are living on their porch. They are very cute, especially because it looks like they are glaring at us. PO'ed little baby birds = adorable.

I don’t have any interesting stories from my life for today, so in honor of Father’s Day  I’ll tell this one about my grandparents that I heard again today but never tire of…

Years ago, my grandfather owned a previous plating/machine shop, and my grandmother was the secretary. One day a man came into the main office with a box full of nuts to get plated. My grandmother called out into the shop on the intercom and said, “Jim, there’s a man here with square nuts.” To which my grandfather inquired over the line, “Well, does he look funny?”
