If'n anyone is near Boone this weekend, I suggest checking out The Waybacks at Boone Saloon on Sunday night. I'll be doing some interview/photography with the band for my side freelance gig, so if you make it to the Boone show, stop by and say hi. ps- For you Tennesseans, they'll also be performing at the Blue Plum Festival in Johnson City on Saturday.
Here's their official site for more info. And although I hate hate hate MySpace, it is the one place besides iTunes where you can hear some music samples. (Also, check out their pics section - I took most of those at MerleFest. Sweet.)
I hope to be covering them, anyway...I have buggered up my neck something fierce and I am having trouble holding my head up at the moment, much less a camera. Anyone know any home remedies for searing pulsing pain from shoulder to ear? The kind that feels like an attack with an electrified icepick? Let me know if you do, pleeeease.

Hey, I'm suffering from the exact same malady! The only thing I can attribute it to is that we've had a major cold spell come though over the last couple of days - I had to turn to heat back on yesterday! - and I woke up with his wacky neck thing yesterday morning. A couple of nights with Tylenol PM usually does it for me.

Pain from shoulder to ear... sounds like TMJ. My wife had a spell of that a few months back that she and her doctor attributed to... of all things... eating too many Skittles! TMJ is a jaw-related thing that can be caused by eating chewy items and can cause pain just like you describe. My wife laid off the candy and took 600mg Ibuprofen for a while, and she's fine.

TMJ eh? I'll look into that, thanks for the tip.
And Vivi, considering how much sleep I didn't get last night, Tylenol PM is def. a requirement until this gets better.
Thanks for the comments!
