I went out and took photos of ducks today. Only one of them tried to bite me, which is a new record.
More duckie pictures here.
This football season has been one of the busiest in memory, and this is the busiest week of the whole shebang. On Friday, we have a cross country meet, a volleyball game, Midnight Madness, and then Saturday we have a football game and a volleyball game. And I'll have at least 3 houseguests the whole time. (I am NO Donna Reed.) Did I mention it's my anniversary and birthday those two days as well?
OK, whining over for now...in less self-centered news, the autumn leaves are perfect up here this week. If you're bored, grab your camera and head up the mountain. (Or head over to BlueRidgeBlog for some excellent shots) It will be over soon- I think that we're supposed to have some snow flurries this weekend. That's about three weeks early, which may mean a doozy of a winter. Or not...dammit Jim, I'm a photographer, not a meteorologist.
It's at least as reliable a way to predict the weather as the wooly worms.
If you're bored and in the area on Friday night, stop by the arena around 11:00 p.m. and watch this this Nature Boy hit my husband with a folding chair. I'm completely serious.
Happy Anniversary, indeed!

Andy, I want a duck. Stop and get me a duck. No, really. Andy, get me a duck.

Happy Birthday! We Libras rock.
Ric Flair? He's gotta be, like, 65 now, doesn't he? He used to live in the next neighborhood over from us in east Charlotte when I was in high school (used to see him driving his Lincoln Mark IV around - which tells you how long ago that was).

Hey, Rick used to live in the neighborhood next to mine for a while (Farm Pond Lane to be exact).
