This had me laughing so hard I almost fell off my chair! Gawd, Leila, you ought to write these things! You've got the formula down pat!

As a BIG fan of Anne Rice's vampires, I have hesitated reading the Twilight books. Now after reading this blog I don't have to. Thanks. I haven't laughed this hard in since reading about Blueridgeblog's turtle.

And that is why I puffy heart you, my friend!

I wasn't the most popular kid in middle school - maybe it was because I was reading Firestarter in Home Ec? I got your number, girlie!

Amanda actually just read those books and said it was a guilty pleasure sort of thing too, and my friend Kelli mentioned them also. Both were sort of sad to be reading books intended for barely teens written by a Mormon. My favorite vampire book is a lusty romance novel that we found at a thrift store. At 25 cents, it was a rip-off. Forever and the Night, it was called. The author, who dedicated the book to herself because she said she "deserved it" did use the term "quivering" a lot. But she used the phrase "as a mortal man would" more. Such as "He wanted her... as a mortal man would," or "He kicked the mud from his shoes... as a mortal man would." It was hilarious to read in front of groups, but it too lacked any actual vampirism. Despite that, I laughed my ass off as a mortal man would.

Geoff -
My next post was actually going to be about "Forever and the Night," because I recall laughing my ass off about it (as a mortal person would). It's on Amazon for a penny, I was thinking of buying all the copies I can find as gifts.
